Reclaim yourself as ‘one-who-knows’.

The Queen of Wands Sacred Mentorship is an offering to those who have heard the call of their wild soul’s longing, and are devoted to answering it. It is a year long journey which is apprentice-centred - not teacher or content centred. This means each Mentorship looks and wild-smells a little different as it is meeting you where you are.

It is a weaving with many potential core threads that you can choose to lean more strongly toward - from tarot to astrology, herbalism to animistic connection, spirit work to crafting. But something that this cloth will bear regardless of the threads chosen, is an uncovering of an ancient pathway deep within you that longs to be trod - with wise and spirited guidance, while being held in safe, sacred space.

 A Witches Curriculum

Choose a specific focus, or embrace all aspects of the Curriculum for your year Apprenticed to the Queen of Wands.

  • An Apprenticeship with the Tarot is a journey through a visual language of life, magic and insight. I teach tarot from an embodied, rewilded perspective, which creates an immersive, relatable, otherworldly learning experience. Exploring the art of reading tarot is an opportunity to learn and apply esoteric languages and principles (such as astrology, numerology, esoteric symbolism etc), while developing and flexing your own deep well of intuition, self-knowledge and personal power. It is both an ally and a tool that you can call upon anytime, for anything, and is a skill learned for life.

We will learn the Tarot in what I think is the most powerful way - by deeply engaging with the cards coming up, to and for you, making the ‘lessons’ memorable, felt, and relevant to your life and experience.

I first found a tarot deck at my Grandmother’s house when I was about 13 years old. I have been fascinated and in awe ever since, and am mostly self taught. Tarot is truly a soul-centered witch skill that once learned, is a an ally for life.

  • If my beating heart belongs to any one name or form, it is that of the Herbalist, the Green Witch. To learn the green world, plants, earths terrain, food as medicine, is a gift to both you and the land you walk on a million fold, a dance of sweetest reciprocity, healing and understanding.

Together we will learn about herbs from a folk, wise-woman perspective that centres local, easily accessible, and non-endangered plants, from how to identify them through to medicinal and magical properties. Connecting with plants as ally’s and learning them deeply for who they are, rather than only superficially for ‘what they’re good for’, promotes empowered, earth-conscious connection both with the Green World, and with your own, thriving, human body.

We will also spend time blending teas, infusing oils, making tinctures and essences, all while learning how to connect with and select the plants that are both appropriate, and calling for your gentle attention. Getting to know important features, or ‘signatures’ of plants, such as colour, taste, planetary alliance, folk story’s, favoured terrain etc. will allow the plants to show you their characteristics and medicinal powers in a way that makes it hard to forget. There is also the opportunity for exploration of your own body’s constitution and patterns, from elemental, humoural, and astrological perspectives.

  • Astrology is a field as vast and awe-inspiring as the cosmos itself. It is a language of patterns, dancing relationships between archetypes and themes and events, and can be as literal as it is conceptual. It also has an enormous scope of application - from deepening self-understanding based on your own birth’s star map, to gaining perspective from longer passages of influence over months, years, decades or millennia - astrology can become an integral part of a curious and discerning Witches practice.

Understanding the cycles of the Moon, and the influence of the signs and other planets which it frequently visits and interacts with, can invite an added layer of meaning to the day to day, and can even help us ascertain moments of power from moments of adversity depending on the portals opening or closing with the Luna Cycle.

Astrology is a lens through which we can chose to view and interpret the world, that helps us make meaning, and live in step to the song of the Universe. It is a mighty thing, and a lot of fun to discover yourself and the world through this mystical, heavenly language!

  • My life changed when, as a Naturopath researching the psychological relationship with Menstruation, I found the phrase ‘Menstrual Taboo’. It was like finding a language for not only a great deal of my own experience as a bleeding woman, but also of the experiences of so many of my clients. From here I began the work of understanding and healing my own relationship with my cycling, bleeding body, and sought out teachers and mentors of the Women’s Mysteries, my heart and mind craving more of this vast knowing I had stumbled upon.

When we connect deeply to ourselves, embrace all parts in their essentialness, their wisdom, their beautiful and confronting aspects alike, we make available to us the full spectrum of experience, power, purpose and transformation that is the birthright of every human animal. It is the same when we are able to recognise Rites of Passage, or pivotal ‘threshold’ moments in life - like our menarche, first pregnancy and births, menopause - and as part of our larger life cycle - from maiden to mother to maga to crone. Healing through connecting with our inherent cycling nature, and re-membering our capacity for midwifing ourselves through critical threshold moments in life can change everything - I have seen it in others, and experienced it for myself.

Working with the many faces of the Goddess and tapping into our own well of both creative and death energy is a way of reclaiming yourself as an empowered, sovereign human and witch, liberated from the inherited or learned structures and beliefs that have led you to ever believe otherwise.

FAQs

What are the dates for the gatherings?

Dates for the four parts are flexible, and can be arranged between us over the year. The only requirement with each of these gatherings is that they are spread out over the year to allow for integration and processing between them. My most flexible availability is on Weekends, with gathering days usually being held on a Sunday, or occasionally on a week day depending on what you need. Timing with the cosmos in mind is an important factor. It may be preferred to work under either a full or a dark moon for example, depending on the work being done. Intended times are 9:00am - 4:00pm, including breaks. Each day is fully catered.

Will the gatherings be online or in person?

The Four Gatherings are intended to be in person, though can be held online. While all Four Parts can be held online, some will translate better than others. Part Two, where we are creating medicines and magics together, is such a wonderful experience to share physical space and materials and story’s in the same kitchen. In Part Four we will spend the day out on land, which we can do separately if needed. Part One and Three are more flexible and immersive if held in online space.
At the moment, all Rewilding the Tarot Circles are held online, and will always have an online option available.

Do I pick one or more subjects from the curriculum?

We can look at one or many, and all will be touched upon as we go. You may want to focus on Tarot, but be interested in Astrology too - we can weave it in however we like. Choose a core thread, or move amongst them all, weaving the tapestry in and out as needed or desired.

Are there any requirements before starting the mentorship?

I recommend that before beginning this year together, that we have worked together beforehand. Either by a one-on-one appointment, or by attending a Circle or Event that I have held, having spent some time together helps us begin the Mentorship with an already establishing foundation, and gives you a clearer idea of my ‘language’ and how I work. If we haven’t worked together but this Mentorship is feeling right for you, contact me via the form at the bottom of this page and we can organise a time for a short phone call to step into space together, and see what we both might need before beginning this sacred contract.

What if I can’t make the Quarterly circles?

Alternative arrangements can be made if the Quarterly Rewilding the Tarot Circles don’t work for you. Whether you are not able to attend for a term, or do not wish to attend them at all through the year, alternatively we will arrange two sessions each term for one on one mentoring and checking in. While I strongly recommend the group work over the one on one sessions, as it brings in community and balances out the four days we meet together, as well as offering far more contact hours with me, it may not fit every term, and we can work around what you need.

Are there course materials or homework?

This is not a course.
There will not be homework, required readings, deadlines to meet or content to complete. There will not be pages of videos and recordings. I will offer recommended readings, will share information, and invite you to enter into processes or enquiries via the Tarot, journalling, guided meditations and such. But it is important that you know that this Mentorship does something a little different to the other offerings I have come across out there - it centres you. Not the material, not the teacher, not a specific teaching or philosophy. You are the core, and it is built to support what is arising for you both in the moment and over the year. It is also why there are so many contact hours, with the four days plus the fortnightly circles, as this Mentorship is an embodied way of learning and being, rather than focusing on rote learning or theory. This is practical, real animistic Witchcraft.

For some this will be a relief, and for others it may feel challenging! Both are perfect as they are. I know for myself, the lure of swathes of course content often draws me in and I look forward to getting lost in the words and ideas and prompts. But truthfully, it can also keep me from really being present to the work showing up in my heart, my soul, my body, when I have prioritised the mind. And how I love to prioritise the mind! For me, it is a safe place of exploration and seeking, but can also keep me from really feeling the teachings, and embodying the magic or changes they encourage. The mind will be honoured and stimulated to be sure! But in balance with the longings of the heart, of the soul, and of the body, human and earth alike.
